Semi Private Machine Sewing Class with Kendall (2-3 participants)

Got a sewing machine… but not quite sure where to start?
Or maybe you just gifted one to a young creative and want to make sure they learn it right from day one and you want to learn together?

Our Semi Private Sewing Machine Class with Kendall is the perfect way to turn that “mystery machine” into a trusted creative tool—for kids, teens, adults, families and friends.

In this personalized session, Kendall will:

• Help you get to know a sewing machine step-by-step (threading, tension, bobbin, stitches)
• Walk you through safe, confident operation so you feel in control, not intimidated
• Guide you through a simple starter project so you leave having actually made something
• Answer all those “Is this normal?” and “Why is it doing that?” questions in real time

You’re welcome to:

• Bring your own sewing machine, if you wish. Optional (ideal for new gifts or machines that have been collecting dust. (Please send us the model and brand name or a picture of it beforehand, if possible)

Use one of our studio machines if you’re still deciding what to buy. Some of the brands we have available to our participants include: Singer, Juki, Brother, Bernina, Husqvarna Viking, and Joann's.

This session is a favorite among:

• Parents and grandparents who have just bought their child their very first sewing machine and want them to start strong while also learning the basics together
• Kids and teens who are bursting with ideas and ready to move from hand sewing to machine sewing, and they want to bring a friend to learn together too
• Adults who’ve had a machine sitting in a closet and are finally ready to learn. and they want to bring a friend along.

Whether it’s the beginning of a lifelong skill or a confidence boost to join our other fashion programs, a semi private lesson with Kendall turns “I’m scared I’ll break it” into “What can I make next?”
