🎨 Summer 2026 — Fashion Runway Production Camp

Monday–Friday | Ages 7–12 | Full-day immersive fashion experience

What is Fashion Runway Production Camp?

This is not your average summer camp. It’s a full-on creative adventure that combines design, craftsmanship, storytelling, collaboration, and confidence. Over one week, campers dive deep into the world of fashion — from sketch to stitch to the spotlight — and build real skills and lasting memories.

At Columbus Fashion Academy, we go beyond ordinary “arts & crafts.” Our camp is rooted in our mission of sustainability, artistic freedom, community, and empowerment. We give kids a safe, nurturing space to explore their style, challenge their creativity, and learn the power of slow fashion in a world of fast trends.

✂️ What Camp Includes

  • Design & Sketching: Campers begin by brainstorming ideas, sketching outfits, choosing fabrics, and sustainable materials.
  • Patternmaking & Sewing: They learn basic pattern creation, cutting, hand sewing, machine sewing, and garment construction using deadstock, pre-loved and recycled textiles — in line with CFA’s sustainable values.
  • Embellishment & Upcycling: Students may paint, embroider, patch, or embellish garments — turning old fabrics into unique, meaningful pieces.
  • Accessories & Styling: Creativity expands beyond clothes — accessories, finishing touches, styling, and even props or fashion statements, depending on each camper’s vision.
  • Team Collaboration & Creative Community: Working in small, supportive groups; sharing ideas; mentoring each other; building confidence and community. This is part of what makes CFA special — a place where everyone feels welcome, accepted, and free to express themselves.
  • Runway Preparation: The spirit of the signature Fashion Runway Production program comes alive.
  • SPECIAL NOTE: All campers will be invited to participate in our Summer Show later on that evening. More details will be provided during summer —a joyful celebration of creativity, courage, and self-expression. Participation is optional, and the runway participant fee is already included in your camp tuition. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to attend and cheer them on.
  • Life Skills & Mindset: Through making, collaborating, and presenting, kids build problem-solving, discipline, teamwork, creative thinking, self-expression, and confidence. These are the real gifts behind the garments.

🌱 Why This Camp Matters

In a world saturated with fast fashion and throwaway trends, our Summer Camp offers a different path. We teach kids:

  • To value resources: using pre-loved, deadstock, and recycled materials — showing fashion can be beautiful and sustainable.
  • To be creators, not just consumers: giving them tools, skills, and mindset to imagine, build, and wear their own designs.
  • To build community: collaborating, supporting each other, making friendships, and learning from mentors across generations.
  • To grow confidence and self-expression: letting them explore who they are — through fabrics, colors, shape, style — and giving them a safe space to shine.

CFA has always been more than a school — it’s a movement. As our “About” page says, we’re building a fashion center rooted in artistic freedom, sustainability, community and self-discovery.
