Two creative worlds. One studio. Three magical hours of hands-on fashion fun.
Kids and teens get to choose their own adventure—pearls, embroidery, or a mix of both—designing custom pieces that fit their style and personality.

💎 Coco & Pearls – Modern Elegance Meets DIY Magic

Inspired by the timeless charm of Coco Chanel, this lab is all about transforming pearls into fresh, modern creations. Students can choose to:

• Design pearl jewelry
• Upcycle pre-loved clothing with pearl trims
• Add pearl details to accessories and gifts
• Create mini bags, cards, or textile gift wrap with pearly touches
• Or bring a favorite garment from home for a sparkling glow-up

Think of this as a mini Parisian studio—hot cocoa, vintage books, films, and endless inspiration.

✂️ Stitch Your Style – Embroidery Lab

Needle, thread, and pure personality. Perfect for kids who love slow-making, detail, and creative focus. Students may:

• Embroider initials, symbols, or tiny motifs
• Customize sweaters, jeans, canvas bags, or a personal favorite piece
• Use our fabrics and pre-loved items to stitch gifts or keepsakes
• Create embroidered cards or textile gift wrap

Some sewing experience helps, but motivated beginners (especially older kids) can thrive with our team’s guidance.

🧵 What’s Included

All tools, supplies, fabrics, hoops, threads, trims, pearls, and inspiration are provided. Each student completes at least one project—many will finish more.

🎀 Extras

• Hot cocoa served during our mid-class break while watching Chanel video clips
• Boutique-size group for individual support
• PLEASE NOTE: PBS is doing a special on Columbus Fashion Academy, and we will have cameras on-site this afternoon. We can prevent your child from being interviewed (if you requested/noted not to have promotional photos/videos during enrollment), but we can not guarantee they will not be shown in the background as we film class in action. Videos and photos will be used not only for the PBS showing, but also posted on our website.

If you’re joining our 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Button & Textile Jewelry Morning Lab, you can add a supervised lunch hour and build a full day of creativity from 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
