Upcycle Fashion for Middle School Kids (Wednesday Evening)

Our Upcycle Fashion is a brand-new afterschool class designed for middle school students who love to experiment, transform, and create at their own pace.
Instead of preparing for a big fashion show, this program is all about slow fashion fun—learning the skills to mend, alter, patch, embroider, paint, and upcycle clothing in a calm, creative setting with some great music and friend connections. Students are encouraged to bring one (or more) garment from home to transform, and we’ll add treasures from our own stash of pre-loved clothes to their collection.
Think of it as a playground for fashion ideas: one day might be transforming pants into skirts, the next might be sewing on patches, and another adding embroidery to a sweater, or reworking a sweatshirt. Kids/Teens get to see their imagination come alive on real clothes while learning life-long skills to care for and reimagine what they wear.
Schedule Flexibility:
Evening Studio Classes run from 5:00–6:30 p.m.
Dates: 11/19, 12/3, 12/10, 12/17 (Four weeks program)
Unlike our Runway Production programs, which end in a big fashion show, this class is about slowing down, enjoying the process, and creating pieces they can wear to school and everywhere.
