Upcycle Fashion (Thursday Afterschool)

Not every fashion adventure ends on the runway—some of the best ones happen right at the sewing table! Our Upcycle Fashion is a brand-new afterschool class designed for curious elementary students (K–5) who love to experiment, transform, and create at their own pace.
Instead of preparing for a big fashion show, this program is all about slow fashion fun—learning the skills to mend, alter, patch, embroider, paint, and upcycle clothing in a calm, creative setting. Students are encouraged to bring one garment from home to transform, and we’ll add treasures from our own stash of pre-loved clothes to their collection.
Think of it as a playground for fashion ideas: one day might be painting a T-shirt with stencils, the next might be sewing on patches, and another could be stitching buttons or adding embroidery. Kids get to see their imagination come alive on real clothes while learning life-long skills to care for and reimagine what they wear.
Schedule Flexibility:
Afterschool Studio Classes run from 3:15–4:45 p.m. Students may arrive anytime between 3–3:15 and leave between 4:30–4:45 p.m.—perfect for busy afterschool schedules.
Dates: 11/20, 12/4, 12/11, 12/18 (Four weeks program)
Unlike our Runway Production programs, which end in a big fashion show, this class is about slowing down, enjoying the process, and creating pieces they can wear, gift, or keep as personal treasures.
