Masterpiece Runway: The Art of Fashion Interpretation
Embark on a creative odyssey with "Masterpiece Runway: The Art of Fashion Interpretation," where art history and fashion design converge. From June 24th to 28th, students aged 8-14 will delve into the works of great artists like Picasso, Klimt, O'Keefe, and other masters; exploring their masterpieces to draw inspiration for contemporary fashion. This week-long camp at Columbus Fashion Academy is a homage to artistic giants and a testament to our commitment to education, diversity, artistic freedom, and inclusion.
Participants will learn to decode the elements that make classic art enduring, channeling these insights into wearable art. As they translate brushstrokes and color palettes into fabric and form, our young designers will not only develop an appreciation for the masters but also the skills to express their unique visions. The adventure culminates in a vibrant runway show, a production where every runway look is a tribute to the past and a bold step into the future of fashion.
Please note, that as part of our enriching summer camp experience, we have planned a field trip to the Columbus Museum of Art this week. The cost of the trip includes museum admission fees for those who are not already members.
